Ten Hut!
This here be an auto-post (so let’s hope Podbean don’t screw it up like the New Year’s post) as one half of Drunk Country is currently away on one of his spy missions to the USof until the 21st January. Not only does this welcome absence afford TWoTH some much needed ‘down time’ away from the giddying ninny, she also has almost 2 weeks of having to only worry about the DCHQ cats dropping half-chewed food on the duvet, leaving suspect puddles on the floor & jumping all over her head at 3am because they can’t sleep & want attention.
This week, then, to entertain the troops while he be away, & by way of a further installment of the Drunk Covers series, one half of + TWoTH do present:
GUILT BY ASSOCIATION VOL. 2
the second album of intriguing & sometimes ingenius cover versions (recorded by a gaggle of well known, & not so known, indie bands & artistes), on the wonderful Engine Room Recordings.
Here’s the deal: ½DC + TWoTH played the entire album & reviewed said covered songs (in their now standard clatter patter style). If that’s not enough to get you juicing at the seam, there’s also a fine selection of additonal cover versions for you to wrap your where-have-I-heard-that-befores around.
Sound good? Course it do. Think of us like the overly friendly parent, what’s been divorced by your other parent, & needs to show how much special love there is in order to secure unsupervised visitation rights. So far, then, so so.
Bit of admin: if you’d like to purchase GBA Vol2 then you may do so digitally by visiting the dreaded iTunes place — or, you could wait a few weeks & purchase the physical release direct via the ERR Musi-store. We recommend you perform the latter as it puts more money in the pockets of both the label & the artists (covered & covering); in turn, this means more money in the coffers for the production of GBD Vol3, which can’t be a bad thing.
That’s about it, then, for this week’s puff & stutter.
Crack on.

Drunk Country,
The Press are here. Can’t do anything, really. Have to wait until they clear out to leave even. Still, must look busy. You are helping with that, really. Thank you.
(hope to get a chance to listen real soon.)
DC: re: Beatles covers: … Great Idea! Paul has some catchy( Cheesy) tunes but I prefer John or the quiet one, George. Some of the Wilbury’s covers , All things must pass…
Such a drunk cover X might approach drunk cover VII .
One more thing, dont stop the drunk cover series because you do them so well, who cares if any other podcats/blogs deal with covers - Irrelevant - MOOT! I have enjoyed every one and never get tired of listening I invite new listeners to judge for themselves:
