Hello & howdy & welcome to this week’s post-amble.
Cripes! This ol’ show was an odd one, eh? Lots of ramble about lost cats, trips to the states, giddy giggling, mildly offensive un-PCness; the whole TWR gambit, then.
For this outing we included: V.V. Brown, Ruth Minnikin, Lost In Trees, Pearl & The Puppets, The Mummers, Bill Callahan & the everso ever present many, many more. Bloody excellent, so the choices were.
Quick bit of admin: as of the 3rd October one half of will be leaving DCHQ & TWoTH & the (now found & tethered) cats & boarding yet another luxury flying machine & heading over to the cloud city what is known as Washington D.C. for approx. 2 weeks.
During time spent he will suffer this year’s ritual ‘birthday’ &, based on the day said date falls, will probably spend it eating nasty take out pizza in his hotel room, drinking warm bottled beer, & watching Nancy Grace. Exotic life, then, eh?
Hopefully, time permitting, liver willing, he’ll be catching up with regular listener Harry Hotspur & musi-blog commentator Campfires & Battlefields for a few jars. Should either be reading this between now & the 5th, pop him an e-mail so he may glean contact numbers & preferred dates for frivolity.
All will be painstakingly detailed upon one half of’s return to the fold mid-October.
In the meantime, to cover his & their collective ass whilst ½DC is orf on his secret squirrelness, one half of, TWoTH & Mr. Fisk strapped themselves into the studio chairs & cobbled together a coupl’a pre-recorded shows for your delectation. Make sure you tune in cos they is well fine, mama.
That’s about it, then, for now. See y’all in 2 weeks.

Oh boy!! Good show all way ’round, DC. ’specially like your babble about poor little Newt.
Stupidly forgot to wish you a happy frikken birthday. Hope you get sloshed to hell & forget responsibilities in that there United States. That’s probably the best way to celebrate your birthday, sir. Take care. Speak to you when you get back home.
I’ll miss ya.
Mrs DC/ TWOTH: Fear NOT! I have never let a drinking buddy go Missing, well maybe once, but I was younger and more irresponsible and the person was not an international celebrity like your husband. Looking forward to some interesting conversation. Will do my best to send him home unharmed with at least one good story to tell. hh
Unharmed, was I, mmm?
Cheers, HH.
Will repay the host duty some future soonest.
