This week, the wonderful Mr. Toad, off of that there even more wonderfuller Song, By Toad musi-cum-social commentary-type blog, joins in on the chaos with some foul-mouthed recommendations of musics what you, the listening few, should be buying with your hard earned pocket money.
Song, By Toad Recommends/Presents (whatever we decide to both call it) shall become a regular feature on this here show, so tuck in.

:o)
Amoebic fucking dysentery!? Good Christ. My great, great, great grandfather caught that during the American Civil War and it nearly caused him to miss the fateful Battle of Gettyburg. What a truly grotesque on-the-job mishap. I’m sorry that happened to you, but I must say that you display rather remarkable fortitude and concentration, going forward with a podcast–and a bloody good podcast at that–in between bouts of what we here in the States call “the Hershey’s squirts.” I’d share a foxhole with you and Prince Harry any day.
Let’s say it was a challenge.
Well, you’ll be pleased to hear that great, great, great grampa made a full recovery, and that was in 1863! I presume the medical care you receive will be nearly as good.
Oh sure, C&B - I’m just squeezing out the last drops of my poisoned innards while the medication works its wonders re-lining the plumbing.
BTW - what’s happened to your blog? I looked & saw no posts. Am I looking in the right place?

My blog actually never quite got up and running I’m afraid. I’ve made a few contributions to the Fun and Heartbreak blog (to which the estimable Toad is also a contributor) but I just can’t get motivated to do my own blog. I’m afraid that to do it properly would require more time than I’ve got (I’m a father of two young boys you see) and that to do it improperly would be worse than doing it not at all. So I lurk in dark corners and make snarky comments on other people’s blogs. I find it’s much easier on the constitution.
I finally bothered to give this a listen after seeing you at Toad’s blog for ages - you’re actually quite hilarious! Also, that Toadly introduction from Wind in the Willows at the start of the cast was one of the most frightening readings I’ve heard in some time. Good god.
See? It’s not all filth & meandering sarcasm. Hang on, though… maybe it is?
